A little update... I have 2 more days of school before I'm out for the break. I was so overloaded with homework these last two weeks. I still have two big things to do before Monday.

My dark tabby - Tigger - had to be put down yesterday. She had cancer and it came on suddenly. She deteriorated very quickly, but she didn't make it to the suffering stage thankfully. She's already sorely missed.

I can't wait for Christmas. I'm excited about the gifts I'll be giving to people - I can't wait to see the looks on their faces :]

I deleted a lot of deviations: the crappy ones, some with less than 6 s, many with less than 100 views.

I knocked a lot of people off my watch list. I got rid of the ones who rarely update (except friends) and the ones whose stuff I don't particularly like anymore.

I'm not posting stuff on dA anymore. The reason is a mix of laziness, my having nothing worthwhile to post, and the extreme lack of critique.

One deviation has like 80-something s. Its a crappy manipulation I did with stock photos that took me 3 minutes to create. There's nothing special about it, and it annoys me that only one (crap) deviation gets all the attention. No one favorites anything else.

I'm not leaving dA. I enjoy new deviations too much. But you might as well consider this account dead. No art, no journals, but I'll still and read your journals.

Took some pictures of kids from a summer sailing class that my sister and her boyfriend teach recently. Some of them turned out really good.

I went to New Orleans for this past extended (July 4th) weekend. We ate at a lot of good places like a Mediterranean restaurant (I tried humus, yum) and a sushi place called Hana. We went sailing on Lake Pontchartrain and I took pictures out there, as well as some general photos of New Orleans.

I gave up on getting a job. Crestview sucks.

We've had family here all week. My sis graduated from high school on Thursday. We sat on the visitors side of the football stadium and were burnt to a crisp by the time the graduation started almost an hour and a half later. A lot of people had umbrellas. The home side was shaded by the huge press box. But I got good pictures of my sis and cousin walking by and stuff. It was so incredibly hot those entire (almost) 4 hours. Her graduating class had a little over 500 kids.

Yesterday (Sat) we had a picnic at a (2 star) general's house (air force guy). He has antique planes and took a bunch of my family members up flying. I refused to fly at first. I wasn't scared of anything except the crashing and burning part, if it happened. My cousin Aaron (who is going to be a pilot for the air force) and his girlfriend Katie flew third after my grandparents (from Tennessee/Fort Myers, FL) and a family friend. Aaron tried talking me into it the whole time. While he was flying Mom said "I'll fly with you if you go," so I thought about it and agreed. It was amazing and soooo cool! I am glad I decided to go! I'll put up a few pictures I took. Another plane flew with us during part of the time, and when I showed the General the pictures he asked me to take Air-to-Air photography for him (of planes flying). Yay a job! :] My first paying photography job!!

I haven't been on dA all week because my computer messed up. I put a program on it and because Norton would not uninstall my computer froze every time it turned on. Stupid Norton. I finally got Windows XP reinstalled (yay!!!) today. It was a super annoying and frustrating process because Ryan had to tell me what to do over the phone. When things would mess up it was hard to explain over the phone what was going on (for me) and how to fix it (for him). But it works now!!!

Funny thing - I got a Note saying I was accepted into a Gir (Invader Zim) club. I asked to join about 2 years ago. There's no point to clubs on dA. So thanks but no thanks, lol.

Still no job altho I've applied. Boredom reigns here in sunny and freaking hot Florida. Uugh.
